The orange tab is pulled straight out to remove the protection tape. It does not remove ribbion. The tape needs to be pulled out prior to install Check out this link www.youtube.com/watch?...

This product does not last long enough!
You advertize that this cartridge gives 1600 copies. We get 500 if we're lucky. I wish we could use another cartridge or go somewhere else less expensive. The expense is killing us. I am VERY UNHAPPY with your product.

Superior to refills
I have purchased generic cartridge refills in the past and find that they do not print as dark as the HP, and if I choose the printer's economode setting, shaded areas are barely perceptible. So I have returned to the original HP cartridge. By shopping online, I save gas, time and energy.
