Strengths:  Small form factor comes with all you need including nice bundled disaster recovery software.
Weaknesses:  Software is proprietary and only works with drive. The USB cable is also proprietary and had difficulty having it boot/charge from another.

Strengths:  A lot of storage capacity.
Weaknesses:  A little on the bulky side.
Review:  I bought this product at Fry's for a very good deal... I paid $79.99. Very easy set-up. I would recommend. I have had no problems with it to date. I actually bought one for myself and my in-laws. They say it works great and have no problems with it either.

Strengths:  one button back up
Weaknesses:  basic software included for back up
Review:  Got a great price on this after rebate. As an external drive to store back-up's on and to use as a dedicated drive for my music this is a good drive. It comes only with basic back up software, but it is an external hard drive and that is it's strongest selling point. Would buy it again, (actually already have, using the second drive to back up a lap top)

Strengths:  metal case, small form factor, replacement drive for notebook.
Weaknesses:  1 year warranty is too short
Review:  Continuation of the nice maxtor mini design with metal case and rubber sides, it has 160GB. Its small form factor makes taking it with your notebook possible. I got this on sale with the intention of replacing my notebook 80 with this and have the old 80 as a docked extra storage.

Strengths:  Sleek looking; compact; good brand name (maxtor); bus-powered; lots of software (if you like it or need it)
Weaknesses:  Expensive relative to non-software bundled versions; backup software is shaky
