Rotational Speed RPM stands for rotations per minute. Faster rotational speed or more RPMs enables the drive to read and write data faster. For everyday use you wouldn't really notice a difference, faster drives are more useful for editing, etc. Most common drives range from 4200RPM up to 15,000RPM.

Cache Size Also known as buffer size, is memory where data is stored temporarily for easier, faster acces.
