After years of being a complete Seagate fan, I purchased my first external drive. It worked fine for less than two weeks and then began making a cracking noise. I managed to retrieve my information in time. Nice, small and great value
Strengths: Overall size and price
Weakness: nothing
This is my second Western Digital portable hard drive purchase and must say i don't see much difference overall outside of the convenience in size killer price. Great for throwing into backpack or duffel bag going back and forth to work or school.

I've had two of Seagate's "expansion portable" drives (not this exact model, but the portable version--the same external look though.)One had 1TB storage capacity, the other 500GB.
