Ultra320 SCSI - 10000 rpm - 8 MB Buffer - 3.5" - MPN: ST336607LW See Product Details
Description
The Cheetah 10K.6 is Seagate's sixth-generation 10K RPM high performance, high capacity disc drive. With the fastest interfaces, the highest reliability and the most mature product design, the Cheetah 10K.6 enables the lowest ownership cost. In data intensive environments, increasing the capacity per disc drive lowers ownership costs by deploying fewer systems that use less cubic feet of space requiring less infrastructure such as cabinets, HBAs and less wattage of power.

Installed 4 of the Seagate ST336607LW in a Dell Precision 620 to use it as a server / power workstation. They are very quiet and, to date, 100% reliable.
Strengths: Fast and low noise.
Weakness: High frequency noise.
This hard drive is pretty fast and low noise. However, drive I got began making high frequency noise, probably about 1800Hz~2000Hz, just after about 5 hours of use. It was very annoying, but good enough for server inviroment.

Strengths: Can set SCSI ID with jumpers on either back or front of drive. Extensive documentation on Seagate's website. Status LED on front of drive
Weakness: Do not have onboard internal terminator circuits so you can't use it as the last device on your SCSI cable.
3 of these drives came with my Dell PowerEdge 1600SC server. Never had any problems with them and never really messed with them until I decided to upgrade the storage in my RAID 5 array. So I bought 2 more factory-refurbed drives from PC Progress. Never worked with SCSI drives before but thanks to the extensive documentation on Seagate's website I was able to add one of them to my RAID 5 array....
