This is the second Iomega UltraMax External Drive I bought. It was a good price and I'm happy with them so far. I use the first drive to store all my photos and movies and all the data from my previous computer. The second Iomega drive I use to backup my Mac hard drive. I do not have anything to compare it to, but so far so good.

Unreliable and expensive technical support: Do not...
Strengths: Large capacity, compact design.
Weakness: Very unreliable, noisy, expensive and poor technical support
Advice to the previous reviewer: Do not buy this product! I purchased one of these HDDs 6 months ago and experienced a few minor problems in powering up + getting Mac OS X to mount the drive. Once solved (by trial and error -- Iomega were insisting I pay them for technical support, so I used Mac User Forums for help, instead -- for free! :-) ). The drive worked reasonably for 5 months -- though...
