Genius MousePen 8X6 Graphic Tablet for Home and...

Strengths: Pretty easy to use even for the young children in your family......

Weakness: IF your running Windows XP you'll need to update the drivers.

The Genius MousePen 8X6 Graphic Tablet is and affordable graphic tablet that most everyone in your family will enjoy. It's operation is pretty straight forward though the keys at the top could have been labeled better but the addition of a few labels takes care of that problem.

Works great in Windows, difficult in Ubuntu

Strengths: Very economical graphics tablet, get more than you pay for.

Weakness: No drivers from OEM available for Linux.

Bought this for my daughter who is a rising artist, took some getting used to versus a mouse. She loves it though, since she can whip out drawings in half the time now. Simple P&P in Windows, off and running in paint in a few minutes. Only difficulty is getting it installed in Ubuntu, since she is used to Gimp; why can't manufacturers create drivers for Linux? Hopefully I should get it working...

Low cost solution to your Tablet needs

Strengths: Low cost, Ease of use, easy to setup

Weakness: Getting used to it takes some time, not the best

I had been looking out for a tablet device for a long time but most are very expensive. The Mousepen 8x6 fits by budget and its low price was one of the most important reasons for purchasing it. I am happy with the performance of the device. Install was a breeze and it worked with minimal effort. There are multiple pressure sensor level that you can use. The buttons on the tablet are little hard...

Economical alternative to the Wacom tablets

Strengths: -Pricing

Weakness: -not as responsive as I would like -difficult to use practically everday -Difficult to install properly -Does not play well with service pack on Windows Office 2003

For the amount of money that I spent on this product, I am more than satisfied with my purchase. It has definitely taken some getting used to, and the cursor does tend to be a bit jumpy on the screen. I had a tremendous time trouble-shooting the installation (issue with Office 2003). I am trying to figure out some more productive uses for this product. The note-taking functionality leaves much to...

Cool, but it can take some getting used to

Strengths: Decent price, responsive pen, works with existing mouse

Weakness: Touchy, learning curve (my weakness), button lables hard to see, tiny mouse

If you're looking for a graphics pad along with a wireless mouse this is a good choice. But, the mouse that comes with this graphics pad is tiny. I have a high-end Microsoft wireless desktop with mouse and was concerned that I would not be able to use it with this graphics pad. I just did not install the drivers for the mouse that came with the pad and all works well. Seems to work with most...
