Strengths: Large capacity for long trips and video footage
Weakness: A bit pricier than SD--but not by much, if you wait for a sale
PRICE: I was waiting for a 2GB card for my new Fuji 6.3 MP digital camera, and this came out just in time! I bought this at Best Buy the first week they had it in stock for a sale price of $77, plus a $7 rebate. At $70 it's admittedly more than a 2GB SD card, but those of us with xD cameras can't exactly choose... "Type M" FORMAT: This is a "type M" xD card, which apparently has higher write...
Strengths: This is a great Flash Memory. My pictures have never looked better.
Weakness: none so far.
I own 12 digital cameras and Fuji with the 2GB x-D card is my favorite. The picture are clear and crisp and the cards performance is fast. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone, who is looking for high quality performance at an affordable price.
Strengths: Large number of pictures the card holds
Weakness: None
The FujiFilm camera that I purchased with this xD Picture Card is the first digital camera I've owned and used so I haven't any experience with any other cards. All I can say thus far is that this little card holds an incredible number of photos. It has over 200 photos stored on it already and from what I understand it can hold upwards to a 1,000 photos. I particularly like the ease in...
Strengths: Capacity
Weakness: Can only be used with Fuji / Olympus cameras and slower write speed then Type H cards
The card work as expected after its formatted and too bad you can't use this card for other devices like SD or CF. The only gripe I really have is it proprietary format, also make sure to check with your camera manufacturer's if your camera supports the capacity.
Strengths: Performance, speed, reliability.
Weakness: More expensive than SD cards of the same storage size.
I have been very pleased with this product in the short time that I have been using it. I asked Fuji a couple questions on-line about the differences between SD and xD and they were very helpful. I decided to go with the xD since it was made by Fuji and was recommended by then.
Strengths: Can hold up to 1361 pictures at lowest quality setting and 680 at highest quality mode on 6mp camera. Great price at Best Buy currently.
Weakness: None so far but, maybe a little slower than type H card I have.
When I bought my camera last year during the holidays, this amount of storage was not available at this price. I am happy to be able to store 2gb of pictures and video with my great Fuji FinePix F20. If you are in the market for a 2gb xD card, then this is the one for you!
Strengths: price. huge memory capability. compact. name brand. reliable.
Weakness: dosen't work with all card readers.
i love this card. it's like putting a new engine under the hood of your car. now my camera is ready for anything. i just bought a fuji s6000fd and using this card i can shoot in RAW format with no problems. it offers the versatility you need with today's digital cameras that also shoot video. i remember when a 256mb card was huge. it's amazing the way technology has and continues to progress. and...
Strengths: capacity
Weakness: price
Well 2GB is probably more than I need, but since it was on sale I went ahead and bought it. I haven't had any problems with it so far. I did notice that it was taking a really long time to transfer photos using a Sandisk card reader. I switched over to a no-name card reader and it is much faster. I have no idea why. The Sandisk reader works fine with CF and SD cards, but for some reason it...
Strengths: Very dependable card, never have lost any files.
Weakness: Have not found any!!
Nice card, very small so it is easy to keep in your pocket until you are ready to use another card. Have never had any trouble with these cards. The 2GB holds plenty of pictures.
Nice card but a little slow
Strengths: Small
Weakness: A little slow
I don't think most people, myself included, are connosieurs of flash cards. The only thing I can tell you is that this Type-M card is a little slower than my previous card (CompactFlash I). If you plan on taking pictures in rapid succession, it may not be what you're looking for. If, like me, you just need a card that will store your pictures, you'll never know the difference.
