I use the UltraBase so that I can quickly pop my x200 in it and use my external keyboard, mouse, and two displays. When I'm done, I just undock and I can take my computer with me wherever I go. It's NOT designed to attach to the computer and add some features. With that in mind, it does everything it is supposed to. I close the lid of my computer and instantly have my 2 screens and countless...

Strengths: Input/Output compatibility, Durability, easy detach/attach
Weakness: included additional features
*Wasn't sure how to rate mobility, read below. I bought this for the pop-in/out function that would allow me to quickly detach my laptop for school from all the peripherals I have attached to it. (A monitor, DVD drive, mouse, keyboard, speakers, and a separate adapter) That way, I'll never forget my adapter in my schoolbag, since I always keep one in my bag, and one attached to the ultrabase. So...

Strengths: Durability, Build Quality
Weakness: Storage, Input/Output compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, Weight, add more usb ports, add a pci express slot
Biggest Set back with the ULTRABASE is the following: -What makes it ultra? -It lacks DVI capabilities -It Requires an additional adaptor cable for DVI use! Lenevo, really what is purpose of having a display adapter port where you need to buy an adapter, why not just make it DVI or HDMI, ehh? -Additional cost is required for hard drive adapter kit! Shouldn't the ULTRABASE include this, compared...
Well..
Strengths: Input/Output compatibility, Weight, light weight
Weakness: Build Quality, feels cheap. something rattles in it, expensive for what it does out of the box
The Bad: This thing is flimsy and like anything Lenovo, nothing is free, Why no drive rails included? What is the rattle inside? The good: 4 USB ports, HDMI and the drive bay. I'd skip the optical drive option on this and go for a second hard drive. This allows the higher speed of an SATA drive and the convenience of docking. I say skip the optical drive because the X200 series WILL boot from a...
