The Digital Entertainer EVA700 connects your TV or home entertainment system to your home computer network to deliver a world of new media enjoyment. The EVA700 streams digital movies, videos, music, radio and photos from your PC and can access thousands of digital files stored in your NETGEAR Storage Central (SC101) device. You can also play streaming media content, such as music and video from the Internet, by connecting to your home network and router. You can even play files saved on a USB storage device such as an iPOD, USB thumb drive, USB disk, and some digital cameras with a USB interface by simply connecting any of these to the front USB port of the Digital Entertainer.

Strengths: Streams audio and pictures like it claims. Good audio quality even over 802.11b.
Weakness: Wireless security setup broken. Doesn't really support the claimed AAC, at least with Windows Media Connect. Poor UI.
The wireless security setup of this device is very poor. After setting the SSID and security type and key, it requires a save and reset to search again, but usually does not save them after the reset. It takes a long time to find the WMC server. It does not display the wireless status.
Does the job but leaves much to be desired
Strengths: Streams video, audio, and pictures from PC to TV. Includes internet radio, and browsing capabilities. Active forum available for support.
Weakness: Buggy and poorly implemented software. Needs to support more file formats.
Setup was easy enough to complete. Luckily my device sits right next to my router so I did not need to use the wireless option. The first issue I had was that the included MediaConnect software would not install properly (perhaps for the best). So I experimented with Wizd and Media Player 11.
