While the unit was easy to setup, there are serious limitations. If the windows Media Center is left running on the extender, CPU resources are maxed out almost all the time. If you close Media Center and go back to the Linksys page, CPU is freed up, but when you relaunch Media Center it takes forever to reload all of the media folders and files. I swapped out an ZyXEL box for this. BIG mistake.
Strengths: Fast, nice graphic
Weakness: need to reconnect sometime. also, start up a little bit slow
I have been using this box for almost 3 months. It works so well with windows media center. With the remote control I could watch, recorded any tv shows or movies that I wanted. Graphic is not bad at 720p

Linksys Wireless Vista Media Center Extender
Strengths: Extends Vista Media Center; wireless
Weakness: No ripped DVD support; slow menus
I picked up one of these for my master bedroom, as I didn't want to put in a HTPC. I have a vista ultimate HTPC in a media room on the other side of the house. The idea is to have access to the HTPC's functionality, but remotely. I already had a DVD player in the room, so didn't bother with the DMA2200 version. The unit is fairly small. I had a wired connection, so didn't the wireless capabiltiy....
