For me, this monitor is an A+++ The only thing I don't like is the depth and the cheap switch on the front. My switch broke, it still turns on and off but its is now floppy. Weakness: I received 2 lemons from Dell.
This may be a good monitor, but I received 2 lemons from Dell. The 1st one didn't work at all. The 2nd worked for about 10 hours and then powered off and wouldn't power on again. It appears like Dell is going to take care of me. But, I'm definitely getting a different monitor from a different retailer.

very very good monitor, especially for the price. i would recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent monitor and is on a budget. the manuals arn't so great but people who spend enough time (5 minutes) messing with it can easily figure out all of the features it has.

Strengths: Vivid clear picture, large viewing area, not bulky around screen, nice base
Weakness: The blinking standyby led is bright and annoys me at night.
I bought this monitor at 233$ and considered that a very good deal. I hoped to get the version with the slide out controls at the bottom of the screen but got the one with the buttons on the front. Samsung is a brand you can trust, and makes high quality products like this monitor. I'll buy another one if I ever need one.
Strengths: Price, clarity of image, brightness
Weakness: about 9-12months into ownership, the evil flickering of a monitor that can't keep up with the refresh started, not even at top setttings (1600X) but at (1280X1024). Has moments of turning on and off
Purchased for $350, now sells for $220, probably a good value, but the one I purchased was a lemon. May consider buying a different model, but wouldn't buy another 955DF

Weakness: It only supports 60Hz, 70Hz and 75Hz at 1280x1024.
I bought this monitor for less than 200USD and i never regretted. Very good quality for that price. If u are satisfied with 1280x1024 at 70Hz this is the monitor for you. Otherwise pay the extra 300USD and buy the SONY CPD-E540.

Strengths: Looked good in the store. Was priced better then the view sonic.
Weakness: Compared it to the view sonic my brother had when I got home, the contrast was nowhere as good. The view sonic has a true flat look, and looks great.
I went to the store to actually buy a view sonic, but they were out of them, the salesman talked me into this monitor saying it was just as good, and was cheaper. As I said the picture quality was no where near the sonic. And now as I write this, the monitor is flickering, and getting color wash out. Like the other ppl who wrote reviews, it seems I got a lemon. Might be a bargo n at 100 dollars...
