ThermalTake Volcano Silent Boost CPU Cooler

Strengths: Keeps my cpu 10 degrees cooler than the issued stock AMD heatsink/fan. Quiter as well.

Weakness: There really isn't one I know of.

I would recommend this heatsink to anyone wishing to spend less than $30 to cool their CPU. It comes with a small pack of thermal compound and instructions that show you step by step how to mount the heatsink onto the CPU. Excellent product.

ThermalTake Volcano Silent Boost CPU Cooler

Strengths: Well-packaged to prevent damage during shipment and handling. Well made. Comes with clear instructions and thermal compound. Quiet.

Weakness: Not Silent.

A little bulky. Relatively easy to install. It's a reasonably quiet CPU cooler, but definitely not silent. Given the cooling effectiveness and quietness, I think it was a good value for the amount ($26) I paid.

ThermalTake Volcano Silent Boost CPU Cooler

Strengths: Very quiet, and does a great job of keeping CPU cool.

Weakness: None so far.

Excellent heatsink & fan. Much quieter than my old Gladiator setup, and although the fan is less than half as fast as the old one, it keeps my CPU 10 degress celsius cooler!! Way to go Thermaltake!

This is one of Thermaltake's best ideas!

Strengths: ULTRA quiet! Keeps chip cooler than any other fan I've used!

Weakness: None so far.

I've used many different fans in my time, but by far my favorite brand has to be Thermaltake. I have had nothing but success with their products, and I will continue to use them as long as they're around. I have been working with computers for over 10 years, and in my experience, this fan has been able to keep my AMD processors 10 degrees C cooler than the Thermaltake (A1745) Extreme Volcano 12...
