Product Details of Cooler Master Hyper 48 CPU Cooler

Description

Hyper 48 is built for high performance. This super silent CPU cooler, with heat-pipe technology, wicks heat away and replaces it with the cooling breeze of a 92mm fan. Four copper pipes embedded in densely packed copper fins dissipate heat rapidly and efficiently. The powerful good looks and quiet operation of Hyper 48 supports the latest Prescott LGA775, Pentium 4 and AMD K8.

Awesome CPU Cooler

Strengths: Quiet, 100% ready for installation, 10C drop in CPU temperature!

Weakness: Big, heavy, and requires a change of base mounts on the motherboard (base mount is included).

I'm using this cooler on both a 754 and 939 system. I used Arctic Silver 5 on both and both saw at least a 10C drop in temperature during Doom 3, or Quake 4 games. That says a lot!

It might be great if I could install it

Strengths: Fine cooling should it ever be installed

Weakness: Installation for LGA 775 has been impossible (for me.)

Everything works smoothly until the last step. A backplate has been positioned. The retention bracket has been installed. Now we merely have to attach the cooler to the backplate with four screws. The problem is,...
