Lots of room!

Strengths: Lots of space to work inside, flexible - can move things around, great cooling and air flow -- quiet fans; cool LEDs

Weakness: Heavy (steel case), weak front "door" magnets, size of case sometimes requires you to buy longer cables than are included with components

I love this case! ... it's my first full tower (up to now have only had mid towers) .. not too much taller than a mid, but noticably greater area inside to work. I like that there's a lot of flexibility with this case -- I can move the front intake fan anywhere on the front grille. Lots of bays, room for six (maybe more?) hard drives. The thumb screws that help hold on the side door are more like...

Great Case for those we plan on Overclocking

Strengths: Very roomy, Toolless Installation features (for 5.25 drives), Great airflow (entire front is mesh), Looks Great, Lock and Key for the Window Panel (Security), USB/Firewire on TOP Of case.

Weakness: VERY HEAVY, Needs icage if you want to install another fan.

I had upgraded from a mid-tower and I plan on overclocking. The case is huge and supports 11 5.25" drives. However, one is taken up by a nifty drawer (for CDs and such). Another is a panel for your power button(which also allows you to place a floppy drive in it if you choose so. Great thing about that power button drive is that you can relocate it so you can have the power button in any one of...

Another beauty from THermaltake

Strengths: Solid constructions, great cooling, Plenty of room.

Weakness: very heavy, weak magnets on front doors

I do not recommend this case for the novice computer builder. although the cables are clearly marked, and the quick release drives bays are simple to work with, overall the case was rather difficult to install powersupply, extra fans, etc. This case is also very heavy, UPS shipping had the case at 55lbs. definitly not a lan party case. This case is also hugh, yes plenty of room on the inside,...

ThermalTake Armor VA8000 Chassis

Strengths: large size and upgradable to extended atx, and btx motherboards as well as compatibilty with liquid cooling, internal and external.

Weakness: doesn't have size fan like it's slightly smaller sibling va3000. other than that, the va8000 is a perfect 10.

to begin with, the va8000 is a great computer case that's both big and with high upgradibilty for just about any upgrades you may think of many years down the road. add to that, thermaltake also makes a variety of good liquid coolers as well as a powerful 680w psu and that is the perfect foundation for a high end desktop or workstation that'll make you the envy of everyone.

ThermalTake Armor VA8000 Chassis

Strengths: Roomy, 120mm fans, flexible. Easy To Work In. Would require a team of burglars with a block & tackle to steal.

Weakness: CM Stacker rip off. Pointless door flap things. Very, very, very heavy. 90/92mm fans noisy and unneccessary.

Purchased this to replace an ancient and hot running ATX tower that stacked the drives next to a skt 939 cpu. Main reasons for purchase were BTX up-gradability, cooling and large number of bays. The Armor is a monolithic black slab of a thing in an even bigger box. Weight is approaching 40 pounds, you're not going to take it home on a bus... Large number of drive bays. 6 x 3.5" internal, 1 x...

ThermalTake Armor VA8000 Chassis

Strengths: Great air flow system, lots of room, overall fans are pretty quiet about the noise you'll get from a refridgerator.

Weakness: Doors are annoying, for the price thermaltake could have done a better job on the door which is has no proper way of keeping it closed when trying to move case from one location to another.

when buying this case pay close attention to the size and weight, the case is kinda big. Its about 35pounds before you add any of your hardware in there, I found the power supply slot a bit tight but with a little of pushing it in, it fits fine. overall this is a nice case. I have 4 hard drives, p4 3.2 processor, ati allinwonder9800 pro video card and I notice a huge difference with the internal...

ThermalTake Armor VA8000 Chassis

Strengths: Solid and very sturdy case. Provides great air flow and room for many of your components. Allows for extensive customization and allows you to cool 3 different ways. Also is future proof as well.

Weakness: Side door is a little tricky to get off but other than that I haven't found anything to complain about.

I ordered this case as a replacement for my first case which was 3 years old. Things sure haven't gotten a lot more user friendly since then. The longest time that I spent on installing my components into this case was just managing the cables. The Armor allows you lots of room to work with and with its screwless pci slots, it makes it even easier. It gives you two 3.5" cages to store hard drives...

Overall a great case but a few quirks here and there

Strengths: Good airflow, Very spacious, BTX upgradeable, water cooling friendly

Weakness: The drive cage blocks PSU fan, Fans are hard to take out and if you are able to take them out they are hard to paut back in, The Front flaps are useless and annoying

I purchased this case from newegg after reading a lot of reviews I wanted a case that was able to hold 6 -7 HDD's and provide decent cooling at low noise. The Armor provided all the features that I was looking for. With 2 120MM fans and 2 92mm fans this case is not entirely silent but can be be made almost silent with a proper fan contoller while maintaining decent case flow. The installation...

ThermalTake Armor VA8000 Chassis

Strengths: lots of space to work with when upgrading and highly expandable and future proof.

Weakness: does not having side fan like it's smaller sibling va3000. other than that, it's perfect.

the va8000 with it's compatibilty to atx, extended atx, and btx motherboards. and it's built for liquid cooling both external and internal and those 4 well placed fans. and lots of cages for more drives than most will ever need makes this the computer case the standard by which all others should be judged by. and if that weren't enough, thermaltake also makes the awesome purepower 680 psu and...
