Success - A great case at a nice price

Strengths: Good looks, front usb ports, 4-pin 12v connection, cpu fan tube, included case fan, cool power-on and HD leds (surrounding pwr switch), nice feeling switches.

Weakness: none so far

I used this case to build up a P4 3.2GHz 478 on an Abit VT7 ATX mb, two IDE drives and two DVDs (R + RW). The power supply seems to be handling everything just fine. I don't do any serious gaming, but I have been doing some development that requires a lot of juice from the cpu and hard drives, still no troubles. Room for 4 - 5.25", 2 - 3.5" external and 6 - 3.5" internal drives, although filling...

Poor

Strengths: Looks

Weakness: Power Supplies didn't work and wires went across the CPU Fan

I purchased a Powmax Case with a 400w20pin plug and a 24pin plug power supply for a new system. The case came with a setup for a 24pin plug but there website didn’t say a thing about a 24pin setup that is why I got the 2nd PS. Neither PS worked the case would turn off during installation and the other had to short cables. The way Powmax wires the 12 volts for Intel is Mickey Mouse they take it...

Good Case

Strengths: Well constructed, nice looking, lots of cooling. USB on the front panel. Buttons are not cheap.

Weakness: Power supply does not support SATA drives. Must use an adapter. USB ports are at the bottom they could be higher up.

Built a system with ASUS M2N motherboard AMD 4200+ X2 with 2 80GB hard drives striped with RAID 0. Plenty of room and the processor stays cool. Only complaint is the power supply does not have SATA connectors. USB ports are at the bottom where it is hard to see if it sets on the floor. I would buy another one, good value.

Excellent Value

Strengths: Case is well constructed-metal is much thicker than what you would expect in a case in this price class. No sharp edges.

Weakness: Power supply is insufficent for the number of bays ( however it functioned perfectly). R/R Pwr supply with 550 watt. HD LED, Power LED Could be positioned to appear brighter.

I can not praise this item highly enough. Well constructed, looks quite good, all cables from front panel to MB headers are grouped together and well marked. Case comes with plenty of installation hardware and a page of documentation that fully explains the interconnection of front panel and motherboard. Case appears to be very RF tight. Absolutely no RFI on a cheap TV operating less than 5 feet...

Apex PC319 case

Strengths: inexpensive solid case, included rear exhaust fan, has front ports [2 usb & audio], side tunnel for cpu exhaust, and rolled/finished edges

Weakness: has the older mobo power connector

Until now, I've only purchased and built systems with Antec cases. I was extremely pleased with the strength and quality of this case, especially by the sturdiness and finished edges inside and out. Didn't even receive a scratch while working with this case. Was also pleasantly surprised at that the parts bag included plenty of screws and brass standoffs, not just cheapy plastic. The included 300...

APEX PC319 ATX Mid Tower

Strengths: inexpensive case

Weakness: PCI slots metal-covers need to be physically detached from the case can't replace them

It's an inexpensive case ($20 AR shipped), but it's a great value. It doesn't have a separate motherboard panel - you have to drop the MB in from the side, but it's plenty big for even the clumsiest. It also lacks a side panel fan like so many cases have nowadays, but I don't use them anyway. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy like many inexpensive case and includes a case fan in the rear. The door...

Apex PC-319

The Apex PC-319 is an entry-level mid-tower case with black and silver styling. The PC-319 comes with a 300 watt power supply already installed which does not have SATA power connectors, though adapters may be used. The edges on the internal surfaces have been well folded to prevent cuts while working inside the case, something which can be a concern with an entry-level chassis. This case trades...
